You really can’t go wrong at this place for the price. As my partner and I tried this place today for the first time, a full breakfast for like $8 is a great deal. The coffee serving is huge. It is fill yourself annd you have a choice of between like 8 different coffees. The home fries were crispy and delicious. The bacon was slightly less crispy than we’d like and we didn’t realize you had to order before you sat down. But this is a place we’re coming back to again and again

Loved the food and prices!!! Best breakfast place I've tried so far for a diner type full breakfast. They also had many coffee types and flavors to choose from, which was a bonus. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Food came out without a long wait with the sunday rush. We'll definitely be back very soon.
Absolutely the best breakfast spot around ! For 11$ and change I had a wonderful breakfast. But it came with a wonderful conversation with the owner Jeff and he even bought me the coffee ! This cafe literally is Hamilton , the history and nostalgia that Jeff imparts is like going down a historical road of the whole city . I highly recommend you walk in here and order whatever you want ,you will not be disappointed.

This place is the type of place I think of when describing a locally owned dinner, it isn't fancy, it isn't done up like a hipster restaurant, it's a place you go to by yourself or with your family for affordable good food with good service and friendly people. I got the 7.99 special, Total came to $8.50 with taxes, it included 2 eggs 2 slices of rye bread 3 sausages and a massive portion of home fries that were perfectly cooked The tables are also cleaned after each customer leaves
Had a great breakfast meal downtown Hamilton. Played tourist and enjoyed the locals banter. Front counter worker was bubbly and accommodating. Food bowl (Breakfast poutine) was incredible, see photos.
This is my favourite restaurant in the city. Is it life changing? Nope. Is it the tastiest? Also nope. Can you get a vegetarian breakfast with rye bread and a side of tomatoes for $5.49 as of January 2025? In this economy????? Yes! Look the eggs were a little runny but that’s how I like them. The toast a bit burnt, but that’s how I like it. The home fries were salty enough to absolve me of my sins. The tomatoes didn’t cost $2 extra like the last breakfast joint I went to. The coffee cost extra and there’s no refills, but they were huge. Honestly the best bang for buck in the city. The service was also excellent - order at the counter and they bring it to ya.
My Mom and I had some time to kill and she wanted to get some lunch and we decided to come in. Outside looks like it would be a small cafe but it actually is pretty long inside with decent amount of seating. You order the food at the counter and pay there, then the staff will bring it to your table. And the portion side is pretty good for what you pay for. I'd say a perfect size. Never realized the hours they kept, so im going to try and come here every so often on the weekends when I can.
